Sonna Obiorah
Senior Policy and Communication Specialist
Sonna Obiorah is a Senior Policy and Communication Specialist in the Executive Office at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. She coordinates and manages a broad portfolio of high-profile internal programs, community-based events, and strategic initiatives for the largest not-for-profit health insurer in the state of Massachusetts. In addition to Blue Cross, Sonna serves as a Senior Staffer for the Health Equity Compact (HEC). The HEC is a coalition of c-suite health care, business, labor, and philanthropic leaders of color, working to advance statewide policy changes that center on racial justice and health equity. Sonna graduated from Brown University with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in public health and theatre arts.
