As we celebrate National Healthcare Decisions Day/Month/Season, we want to recognize the work all our members do every day to help people across Massachusetts access care that supports what matters most to their lives (we’re also grateful for whatever technology that has let Ellen DiPaola, President of Honoring Choices Massachusetts, duplicate herself to be there for the amazing number of NHDD events happening this month).
The best healthcare decisions are made through communication, collaboration, connection, and, especially, trust. Even as we all struggle with the many challenges facing our health care system right now – from workforce shortages and capacity crunches – our consumer research reminds us that, at the end of the day, what patients want most is to feel seen, heard, understood, listening to…cared for. And that is certainly what NHDD is all about.
