Carine Davila, MD, MPH

Palliative Care Physician, Massachusetts General Hospital

Carine Davila, MD, MPH, is a palliative care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital passionate about improving access and quality palliative care for historically marginalized populations, including Latino Spanish-speaking patients. She serves as Equity Director for the division, co-created the palliative care integrated health equity curriculum, and co-leads MGB’s United Against Racism efforts to reduce disparities in serious illness communication for marginalized communities. She was selected as a Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University and received her master’s in public health from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. She began partnering with the Massachusetts Coalition for Serious Illness Care in 2020 as part of her Commonwealth Fund Fellowship and has continued to support key research efforts with the Coalition team.
