In case you missed it, MessageLab launched the Serious Illness Messaging Toolkit with evidence-based messaging for serious illness care. What evidence is it based on? It's based, in part, on our Coalition's consumer research The Toolkit has FREE resources for you to download, including specific language that's been tested with consumers to talk about palliative care, hospice, and advance care planning. It also features stories, worksheets, quick start guides, and more!

On October 14, 2021, we virtually came together to reflect on the findings from our latest nationwide research. We also heard updates from our Public Policy Working Group, Medical Schools' Collaborative, and Nursing Schools Taskforce. Through presentations, discussions and breakouts, we explored what it means to shift to an equity-first approach in all our work to improve communication and care for people and families facing serious illness.

Do you enjoy seeing people in three dimensions? ‘Cause we last held an in-person Summit on May 16, 2019 and just a few things have happened since then. We’ve got four Mini-Summits this spring to bring us back together! Thank you to our Coalition members who will be graciously hosting us around the state, including Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Care Dimensions in Danvers, Blue Cross in Boston, and UMass in Worcester.
