Next Education Forum on Nov 13
Publication Date: September 10, 2024
We are thrilled to reflect on the success of the inaugural Serious Illness Care Education Forum, which has made significant strides in its first year! The forum featured four engaging sessions hosted by a Massachusetts medical school. Presenters showcased their recent projects and publications during these sessions, fostering dynamic discussions and collaborative problem-solving among participants. The diverse audience, representing various disciplines within serious illness care from across the U.S., contributed to a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives.
Key themes from these forums included the need to underscore the importance of serious illness education within undergraduate and graduate medical training and the imperative to enhance faculty development to expand the reach of serious illness care teaching. Thank you to Megan LaPorte, Director of Medical Student Inpatient Education at Cambridge Health Alliance, who has led and championed this forum.
We are excited to build on these insights and look forward to an even more impactful forum in the coming academic year.
You can register now for our next forum on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 12-1pm on Zoom, where we hope to start talking about evaluation.
